Except where noted, register for all trips by telephoning registrar Ginny Powers (914) 764-4320
This year we are introducing "Leader’s Choice" field trips. In many cases, interesting birds appear in locations that cannot be planned for. To take advantage of this situation, we will plan field trips to locations that will not be determined until shortly before the trip takes place. When registering, the Registrar should be able to tell you of the destination. These trips will be half or one day trips only. TRIPS MAY BE ADDED TO THIS LIST, SO CHECK THE SITE REGULARLY!
WARD POUND RIDGE RESERVATION BUTTERFLY WALK
Ward Pound Ridge Reservation is well known as one of the most
diverse butterfly spots in the New York City Area. Over eighty species have been seen in the park. On last years walk in June , we saw close to thirty species of butterflies and skippers. We will look for park specialties such as the Harris' Checkerspot, Dusted Skipper, Long Dash, Red-spotted Purple and many others. We will meet at the end of Michigan Road at 10:30 A.M. Michigan Road is the first right past the entrance booth.| RETURN TO TOP OF PAGE |
