BioBlitz 2007Leon Levy Preserve
Protection of the land has been a goal of local preservationists for years, because of its size and location, its hiking trails, its watershed protection value and its wildlife habitat. The preserve contains a diverse array of wetlands, stream systems, rocky hills, a large ravine, and mature second growth forest. The preserve contains an extensive system of hiking trails, including an old carriage trail, and is open to town residents for hiking, snowshoeing, biking, and horseback riding.
