Robynn K. Shannon

Robynn
K. Shannon earned a Ph.D. in Ecology from the University of Connecticut and a
M.S. in Botany from the University of New Hampshire, where she was a curatorial
assistant in the Hodgdon Herbarium. She currently holds a temporary appointment
as Assistant Professor of Biology at Eastern Connecticut State University, and
will become Assistant Professor of Plant Biology at Ramapo College of New Jersey
in September. Prior to pursuing a Ph.D., Robynn worked as a research assistant
in the Botany Department of the National Museum of Natural History and served as
a Peace Corps Volunteer, teaching secondary school science in Ghana. In 2003 she
participated in a BioBlitz in Connecticut, where she currently resides.
