Checklist of the Birds of the Hunt-Parker Sanctuary

Eastern Bluebirds are just one of the species nesting at the Sanctuary This annotated checklist to the birds of the Hunt-Parker Sanctuary is an ever-changing document, based upon contributions of sightings from many of the visitors to the Sanctuary. As it stands, 166 species of birds have been recorded at the Sanctuary and 74 of them nest on the property. When looking for birds on the Sanctuary, based on this guide, keep in mind that many species require specific habitats and conditions in order to be present. So while a particular species may be listed as “common,” you won’t necessarily find that species all around you when you visit.
